The Delaware Trail Spinners would like to thank everyone who helped out on our projects and who donated to the Bridge Fund. The Bridge Fund accomplished its mission and we'll be installing the bridge between Christmas and New Years of 2009. If you've been by the Stepping Stones over the past couple of months, you probably noticed the 10 Chance Helical Piers we installed August 6, 2009. The supporting 8 X 8 beams were installed December 8, 2009. So, all we need to do is set-up the scaffolding and assemble the bridge.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP

The plan is to have morning and afternoon shifts December 28 until December 31. We need anywhere from 6 to 10 volunteers per shift. If interested in helping on this project please contact Jim Ireland at 302 632 2816 or jim.ireland@verizon.net. Below is the preliminary schedule;

Monday December 28 Morning Shift will carry scaffolding to site and erect the supporting piers.

Monday December 28 Afternoon Shift will possibly complete scaffolding installation than carry bridge beams to site and erect across the Middle Run

Tuesday December 29 Morning Shift will carry the rest of the fiberglass components and install.

Tuesday December 29 Afternoon Shift will continue carrying the rest of the fiberglass components and install.

Wednesday December 30 Morning Shift will carry the decking to the site and install.

Wednesday December 30 Afternoon Shift will continue carrying the rest of the decking and install.

Thursday December 31 Morning Shift will remove the scaffolding and carry it back to the staging area.
