The Fair Hill Classic is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS) and is one of the most popular cross-country mountain bike races on the East Coast. The course has no laps -- just miles and miles of beautiful singletrack in the 5,600-acre Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area near Newark, Delaware.
We have categories for First Time Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Sport, and Elite racers of all ages and genders, even single-speeders, as well as the ever-popular Kid’s Race.
Even if you don’t participate in the race, come on out to watch the action. We will have lots of viewing areas to set up your easy chair and enjoy the excitement.

The 5th Annual Mountain Bike Jamboree October 2, 2011
The Jamboree will be held Sunday October 2, 2011 (Rain Date October 23, 2011).
The Delaware Trail Spinners would like to invite all mountain bikers in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and other areas to a group ride at Fair Hill. Let's all get together to share our enthusiasm for the sport and willingness to help each other in building and maintaining multi-use singletrack in the mid-Atlantic area.
The location is the Fair Ground near Walls Hall at Fair Hill (where the Fair Hill Classic race activities are held). Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with the rides beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting for about
2 to 3 hours. Members of the Trail Spinners will serve as personal guides for small groups of riders (approx 8-10) to show you some of the best and most beautiful single track in the mid-Atlantic area. The DTS guides will tailor the speed and distance of the ride to suit each group. Distances are flexible but usually will run between 10 and 20 miles. We'll provide bail-out points or give directions to anyone who may need to head back to the parking lot early.
Finally, don't forget about our picnic after the ride. We’ll throw some burgers and dogs on the grill and have a couple of tubs of potato salad. DTS also will have plenty of extra food available, so don’t worry too much if the refrigerator turns up empty of Jamboree day. We'll probably start grilling around 1-2 p.m. DTS will have grills set up for your use. But it wouldn't hurt to bring a small grill with some charcoal if you have one. Don't forget to bring your favorite beverages and something warm to change into after the ride. Also bring some chairs unless you want to sit on the ground.
As an added incentive to attending, we have an entertainment committee hard at work coming up with some fun things to do during the picnic and social time after the ride. For folks with families, Fair Hill is a great place for hiking, trail running, geo-caching, equestrian activities (but bring your own horse) and lots of other outdoor fun.
The Poker Run Saturday Date TBD
A mountain bike ride for riders of all ages and skills.Not a race but a fun ride through the heart of beautiful Fair Hill on your choice of well-marked trails from 3-25 miles. Most of the trails will be included in the Fair Hill Classic race, so the Poker Run is a great way to preview the course.
Even if you decide not to ride, come out to enjoy the fun. Fair Hill not only has the best mountain biking on the East Coast, the park also offer hikers, bird watchers, nature lovers, loafers, everybody a chance to get outside and have some fun. So grab your deck chair and come out to enjoy the festivities.
The 12th Annual Fair Hill Poker Run will be held in the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area located 6 miles west of Newark, Delaware on Rt. 273. Follow Rte. 273 west out of Newark, continuing straight at the intersection with Appleton Road. After passing under the 2nd overhead bridge, take a left onto Gallaher Road and go about 1 mile to the Gallaher parking lot.
Registration begins at 8:00 AM and closes 11:00 AM. Your $15 donation goes to support local parks and community MTB activities. Everyone who registers is eligible for special prizes that will be awarded at 1:00 PM.
