The Fair Hill Classic is one of the most popular cross-country mountain bike races on the East Coast. The 14th Annual Fair Hill Classic is scheduled for Sunday, July 12 and will be part of the Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS). The 2009 course has no laps - just miles and miles of beautiful
singletrack in the 5,600-acre Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area near Newark, Delaware.
We have categories for First Time Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Sport and Elite racers of all ages and genders, even single-speeders, as well as the ever-popular Kid’s Race. Even if you don’t participate
in the race, come on out to watch the action. We will have lots of viewing areas to set up your easy chair and enjoy the excitement.
We have it all! Great trails, fantastic prizes, plenty of excitement, lots of refreshments,
fun for the whole family. You don’t want to miss it!.

Volunteers are Still Needed !!

As most of you all know, our race is one of the largest in the east and therefore requires a lot of help to be successful. This is the clubs single largest event and yields the bulk of our budget. Without which we could not fund our projects, donate to the parks, plant trees, etc.. A small donation of your time on Sunday July 12th will make sure that we can.

Typically, it takes 60 -70 people to run this race. We have a wide range of jobs to be filled, so there is something for everyone (i.e. no experience needed). Jobs include: section leaders, 2-3 folks to work with the section leader, sweeps, help with registration, parking, water stops, etc.. For any of you out there that haven't worked a race it is a really fun day and a great way to meet some of the membership. Racing on Sunday? Sign up to help work with a section leader to get the trails in shape before hand. Friends and family members welcome to come out as well. In the past we've had families work a water stop together, lots o' fun! So give a little of your time to help out and help secure our access to these great parks we ride.

So PLEASE, contact me by e-mail: moran1900@yahoo.com or through the yahoo group if you are interested. I will need some contact info (e-mail and cell#, this will NOT be posted) and what you might like to do if you have a preference.
