Why such a dead forum?

Why is this Forum so under utilized?  It seems like a great place to buy/sell, hook for rides, meet folks..etc.

Where I used to live,  there was a heavily used forum and you could jump on rides anyday of the week, find parts you needed, or know what's going on in our biking community.

I guess I am just a little surprised that with such an organized club with many riders, I expected to see more activity other than the few posted rides in the "Latest Rides" area.

Where's the "who wants to hit Lum's on Thursday?" and the "Where are we at with the pump track?" or the "why is my frame creeking? and "there's a big tree down on X-trail" kind of stuff that goes on in such a large Mountainbiking community.

That's my $0.02

I think these forums have a classic catch 22 that you need a critical mass of use before others jump in and use them. When people see the forums aren't being frequently used they assume no one is looking and won't be able to answer their questions and move on.

I don't post here often because I usually just ride with my friends who are at my fitness level, I'd probably slow down most of the riders on here. I'm guessing others still drop by here so if if you post something up I'm guessing you'll get some responses. It could help kick start the forum.

I agree... I used to always

I agree... I used to always get great info in this forum on trail conditions, trail projects, Jamboree, etc. but now the only post is the occassional spam message.  I am taking my first ride at Middle Run and WHite Clay today after going tubeless... just hoping my front tire doesnt go flat as I'm not 100% certain the seal has taken.  Hoping to dial in what PSI will work best for me

Good luck with the tubeless

Good luck with the tubeless setup.  I get why people love it but I just don't like the mess.  I often switch up my tires and it seems like so much work.   Let us know how teh maiden voyage went!
