Great turnout with 40+ volunteers.

Thank you Bob Oswald, Ken Cox, Mike Johnston, Bob Gaston, Dave Duncan, and Karl Lehman for leading today.  Definitely helped us get the crews out of the parking lot quick.

Thanks to every who gave up some riding time today so our next ride is a little more enjoyable.

I attended a meeting regarding the Tri-Valley Project.  My notes are in the PDF file that is attached.

In a nutshell, there are pros and cons to this project.

The primary concerns for me are the width of the trail, the "upgrade" of singletrack (hardened surface, not asphalt), and the material (asphalt) proposed for use throughout the trail.

The positive: access to the Big Pond area.  More all-weather trail.

So, read the notes and decide for yourself.  But, whatever your opinion, make sure you attend the open house and you voice your opinion.

Club purchased some log handling tools to work on Double Horseshoe/Tonto's Last Stand.  Purposely left the log on the trail to see what would happen.  Interesting concept that we can definitely improve.   What does the volunteering community want?  Show up and help us put the new tools to work.
